Short summary of the job: Perform pumps maintenance with the responsibility under minimal supervision to disassemble, clean, maintain, overhaul, repair, reassemble and test a wide range of pumps to the scope of Aftermarket services and responsible for the quality of the work.
Responsibilities:
Examines pumps for malfunctioning and to locate damage or wear, such as blowout packing, misalignment of pump shaft, slippage of drive belt, worn bearings, or need for lubrication.
Dismantles pumps and performs repairs, such as cleaning impellers, repacking stuffing boxes, tightening glands, and replacing bearings, using hand tools.
Submit and review the analysis report with the workshop supervisor to determine the work schedule.
Reassemble and test in accordance with all approved work and test procedures.
Maintain a high standard of personnel/ workshop/ equipment/ machines and tooling cleanliness.
Ensure that all work is completed and inspected as per the approved work procedures.
Ensure that all job related paperwork and technical reports are accurately completed and submitted.
Comply with all company QHSE policies, practices and procedures.
Contribute to the team ethic and perform other reasonable duties as required in support of the business.
Maybe required to work at job site in support of business activities.
Knowledge:
Must be familiar in the use of an extensive range of precision measuring and testing equipment.
Must have start-up and trouble-shooting experience with centrifugal and PD pumps.
Understand pump curves and be capable of horsepower, head and other performance calculations.
Familiar with pump troubleshooting and workshop practices including vibration analysis recommendation or Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method.
Have a good attitude and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate well and candidates must be team players.
Have a minimum of passive knowledge of English both spoken and written.
Microsoft office computer skills.
Qualification:
Minimum Mechanical Diploma (D3) with a minimum 5 years’ experience in oil & gas and chemical industry related to overhaul/ repair pump and testing work with API standard or international standards.
Maximum age 45 years.
Physically and mentally healthy.
Preferred which hold the Certificate or training related to rotating equipment operation and maintenance from BNSP/ MIGAS/ SKKNI.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work Schedule at Petroturbo workshop: 8 (eight) hours/days which includes starting work on 08:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour break for lunch or 40 hours per week for five working days in a week and prepared by the on-call outside office hours/days to business needs.
Depending on the workload, personnel may be required to work overtime with little or no notice.
Exposure to shop and field elements such as noise, dust, odors and temperature variations.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment while in shop environment or on job site.
This is a safety sensitive position.
