ESP Field Service Technician - Onshore
Short summary of the job: Perform preventive maintenance, install, and troubleshoot of electrical submersible pumps (ESP's) to the scope of artificial lift services and responsible for the quality of the work.
Perform preventive maintenance, install, and troubleshoot on electrical submersible pumps (ESP's).
Complete all job related forms and reports accurately, completely and in a timely manner; field service tickets after completion of an installation or work at the well site.
Responsible for all assigned Petroturbo owned equipment and tools.
Accurately report in detail all information gathered for possible use in the DIFA process on all units pulled.
Comply with OEM ESP TSM (Technical Service Manual), Field Service and Product Bulletins, Quality Assurance Directives, Bulletins and Instructions, and driving policy.
Quickly adjust to changing job assignments/requirements and the flexibility to work overtime with little or no notice.
Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
Maintain and improve customer relationships with all customers and work with others to optimize business opportunities.
Maintain assigned vehicle, inside and outside, and ensure regularly scheduled maintenance is completed.
Develop SOP and JSA of ESP’s.
Must have start-up and trouble-shooting experience with ESP’s.
Understand pump curves and be capable of horsepower, head and other performance calculations.
Have knowledge of safety procedures related to ESP’s, cable splicing, variable speed drives and switchboard.
Have knowledge and be able to operate the tools (mechanical, electrical, instrument) in ways that properly and safely.
Have a good attitude and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate well and candidates must be team players.
Have a minimum of passive knowledge of English both spoken and written.
Microsoft office computer skills.
Education: High School or better with a minimum experience of 5+ years of field service technical experience installing electrical submersible pumps, cable splicing, and starting equipment on variable speed drives and switchboard.
Maximum age 45 years.
Physically and mentally healthy.
Has a formal training on basic ESP, switchboard or VSD.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work Schedule: 10 (ten) hours/days which includes starting work on 06:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour break for lunch. 14 (fourteen) days work and 14 (fourteen) days off for a period of work (work schedule 2:2) and prepared by the on-call outside office hours/days to business needs.
Depending on the workload, personnel may be required to work overtime with little or no notice.
Exposure to shop and field elements such as noise, dust, odors and temperature variations.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment while in shop environment or on job site.
This is a safety sensitive position.
